Can I register for my friend, relative or sibling?

You can register for others with the consent of the said person.

Can I register profiles for my sibling and myself with the same e-mail ID?

You can have a maximum of two profiles according to your choice and have the same email id for both the profiles.

Please ensure that you don't have duplicate profiles. If you choose to have two profiles it should be for two different persons.

Multiple profiles need admin approval. While registering for another profile you would be alerted that you already have a profile listed and if you wish to create one more profile. If you choose yes a new form would appear through which you can request.

What is Mobile Number Verification?

We at feel very responsible towards our Muslim brothers and sisters and for this reason we do take the extra effort to ensure unscrupulous elements are rooted out. This means that we do try our best to ensure that we can tag the profiles to the mobile number of the user so that we can help find the identity of the person in case of emergencies. Towards this, a call would be made after registration to check the veracity of the user. This verification is free and without verification you cannot be a member of

How to verify your mobile number?

If your mobile number is not verified, you will be presented with a pop-window to verify your mobile number.

  • Step 2 - After few minutes you will receive a Verification Code either by call or SMS on the number that you provided

If you do not want to receive the phone call for mobile verification you can choose the “SMS” option. Click on the SMS verification link and enter the 6 digit code provided to you.

What are the Do's and Don'ts in creating a profile?

Describe in brief about yourself, interests, character, goals, ambition and what you expect out of your partner. Try and complete the profile that will reveal more about who you are. Add a recent photograph of yours that is neat and clear for better response. Do present only factual information. The more the prospect knows about you the better your chances in finding your partner for life.

You might have an instance where you feel the other profile is suitable for you and yet your proposal has been rejected, this could mean that the information that you have provided does not match their need or you could have not presented it properly. It could also be that the information that they look for is not in your profile.

If you have any particular preference or expectation please use the partner preference set of questions to help you find one. Your preferences will be matched with profiles in our database and profiles that match will be sent to you.

What is necessity and importance of a Profile ID? has unique ids for each profile and that is called ProfileID. All profiles have unique profile ID’s. This ID appears on top of your profile during viewing.

I have corrected my profile, can I resubmit again with proper details?

Profile can be edited and modified according to the wishes of users. Please ensure that you stick to our guidelines. Modification of your profile will be updated once it has been approved by the Admin.

What all information from my profile will be displayed to other members?

Other members can view all the details of your profile except date of birth and your contact details. IT is your prerogative to share it with others. We choose not to share it.

Will my mobile number, shared with everyone?

Your mobile number will not be shared as we address your privacy concern seriously. Paid members can view your contact details if your partner preferences matches with the other

I have added my profile, but it was rejected - why?

We at have stringent process for approval of profiles. If the profiles do not meet our guidelines we reject them. Given below are reasons for rejection.

Profiles will not be approved if they contain:

Free members can view only some of your details. They cannot view your mobile number, Paid members can view all your details.

  • Step 1 - To retrieve lost password or profile id click on the login button on home page

  • Step 3 - Enter email id or registered mobile number
  • Step 4 - Email id should be the one that you used during registration
  • Step 5 - Now your profile id and password will be sent to the registered email id or to the registered mobile number by SMS

How do I change my Password?

Why is the message Invalid Matrimony ID/Email ID or Incorrect Password being displayed when I try to login?

You would receive these messages for the reasons given below

  • Step 1 - Wrong password
  • Step 2 - Check if the caps lock is on while entering password.
  • Step 3 - Check if your password is upper or lower case
  • Step 4 - There should be no space in the matrimony id.
  • Step 5 - The email id should be the one you used while registering

Can a Member remain permanently logged in to Muslim Matrimony?

You can be permanently logged in through your computer or mobile phone as long as you feel secure about the devices that you use is not used by any other. If you choose to be permanently logged in select “Remember me” below the password box. This means that you will always be logged in and you need not go through the login process.

How can I modify my profile information?

Can I change my profile ID?

Profile ID's are unique and generated by the system and cannot be changed under any circumstance

Are there any restrictions on modifications?

Yes, Marital Status, Mother Tongue, Religion, Nationality details cannot be edited.

How long will it take for the modifications to reflect on my profile?.

Any modification will go through our strict validation process before changes in your profile. Updation will take 24 hours to reflect.

What is 'Change Profile Status' to hide my profile?

There are three type of profile status 1.Active Profile 2. Partial Hide 3. Unavailable

Active Profile

Active profile means your profile will result in searches and members can view your profile and immediately contact you. Its advisable to choose active profile option for better and faster response.

Partial Hide

Partial hide profiles are for those who wish to find a partner themselves and don't wish to be searched or found by other members. You will interact only with members of your choice or the ones who know your profile ID. This means the chances of you being viewed by others is less and translates into fewer responses.

This profile is for users who wish not to reveal themselves to any. This also means that you wont be able to contact other members. You will only be able to contact members who you are already in contact with.

Photos Upload

Why should I upload a photo?

A picture means a thousand words. If you put up a clear and neat picture you will get better responses and views.

How many photos can I add?

A maximum of 30 photos can be uploaded and they can be categorized into albums. The photos have to be a gif or a jpg and cannot exceed 10 MB

What is photo validation process?

All photographs will go through our manual screening process. The time for this is 24 hours and will be uploaded after validation

What is photo security?

Photos will be visible based on Photo Lock option that you choose while uploading the photographs. We give utmost care to our member's photographs.

How long will it take for my photo to appear?

The validation and updation process would take less than 24 hours and would be visible to everyone after that. Till then the photo would be visible only to you

Are there any DOs & Don'ts I need to take care of while uploading my photograph?

The image file should be in jpg gif or png format

Size should not exceed 4MB

The photos should subscribe to strict social standards. We can remove delete or not approve photos that violate decency

How do I add photographs to my profile?

You have an option to import photos from your facebook network. With just one click, you can add photos from your facebook profile.

You can also add photos from your facebook account

  • Step 1 - Click on 'Import your photos'
  • Step 2 - Enter your facebook login details
  • Step 3 - Choose any of your facebookalbum
  • Step 4 - Choose any particular photo from that album
  • Step 5 - Choose one of the three albums from the dropdown shown under every photo

One of a member is interested in my profile and requested my photo, what is the procedure?

Upon receiving a photo request you can upload your photo to your profile. After it gets approved by the photocell your contact will receive a notification informing about the availability of your photo.

What is Online Search?

Can I save my Search criteria so that I don't have to set it every time?

Yes! You can save up to 3 search criteria that can be used later. You can edit the search criteria and the saved search criteria can be deleted.

What is Search Results?

When your search options are not broad enough then your search results will say so. To get better search results reset the criteria in your profile by: Click on Search link. Reset the basic search criteria. Click on Save Search link.

What is partner preference?

Partner Preference is a feature that helps you define your ideal spouse and set your suitability criteria. You will be intimated by e-mail everyday about new profiles matching your criteria. With this feature you would receive information about members suiting your expectations regularly.

How do I view a particular profile?

You can search and view a particular profile by entering the Profile ID in the 'Search by ID' option.

I get the error 'No matching records found' while searching for the profiles.Why is that so?

Can I omit those profiles on search results I already viewed and marked it as 'viewed profile'?

What is Send Interest (Yes)? How can I contact other Members on

Initiating contacts with members of is FREE. You can contact Members that you like by Expressing Interest in their Profiles. These Members will receive an Interest from you, in their Inbox and will additionally receive a SMS notification as well. These Members can choose to respond to your Interest by Accepting or Declining it after viewing your profile.

How will I know if a member has accepted/declined my interest?

You will be notified via e-mail when a member accepts/declines your interest. You can also login to your account and select the 'Interests Sent' option under “Interests” to know how many members have accepted/declined your interest.

How do I send personalized messages to a member who has accepted my interest?

You can send personalized messages to a member who has accepted your interest by upgrading your membership to a Paid Membership.

Can I Accept a Member after Declining him/her?

Yes, you can Accept a Member after Declining.

If you had received response to your profile from other member and you view their profile Accept and Reject Contact would be displayed?

If you had received response to your profile from other member and you view their profile 'Accept' and 'Decline' would be displayed. By sending 'Accept message you agree to communicate with that member and by sending 'Decline' message you refuse to communicate with them

After accepting a contact from a partner member, can I have the option to refuse the contact and stop further contacts?

There may be instances when after expressing interest once in a member and after getting accepted by the partner member, on second thought, for some important reason, you decide to stop any further communication. In that situation you may use “End communication” option to convey the message that you are not interested in further communication.

After blocking a member can I have the option to resume the contact by 'unblocking a member'?

Yes. has provision to unblock a member who has been blocked by you from contacting you.

Can I Accept a member after rejecting his or her contact?

Yes, you can accept a member already declined by you. This is possible by opening the concerned Member\'s profile and expressing Interest again.

What is the use of 'Profile Filter' in

In, Profile Filter provides you the facility of narrowing your search by filtering and restricting partner members contact on the basis of age, marital status and country of residence.

For example, if you wish to receive response from only members who are aged between 25 to 30, with marital status unmarried and residing in United States, United Kingdom or Canada. Only those members can able to respond to you without warning from However, members who do not meet your set criteria but initiated contact with you would appear in 'Consider Requests'. You have the option to ignore those members and may not be required to send your acceptance or rejection of contact.

Is it possible to Initiate Contact with members who have filtered me?

It is possible for you to Initiate Contact with a Member who has filtered you, since you may still have a chance of being accepted by that Member. Once you initiated contact with other member, your contact would be displayed in 'Consider Requests' of the other member. The other member has the option to respond to your profile or just ignore. would not alert them to accept / reject your contact, since they already filtered your profile.

What is the use of Request Photo feature and how does it work?

'Request Photo' feature enables you to request preferred partner members to add photos to their profile, if they have not uploaded their photo or set conditions to show their photo. To be eligible to use this feature, first you should have added your own photo to your profile. Then only you can make use of 'Request Photo' feature.

For utilizing this facility, login to your Account, and use search options to view the particular member\'s detailed profile

How do I chat?

How do I know who is online?
